Some invisible being who is everywhere and yet somehow manages to be completely useless at stopping all sorts of cruel shit happening to people and even plays deaf when insurance companies make a bundle from "acts of God" expects us - the intelligent life forms - to get on our knees and pray to him/her ( gotta keep the feminists happy ) while at the same time failing miserably to ask perfectly valid questions like.....

"Has anyone seen any fucking proof?"

A belief is just a belief(can also be seen as an opinion) and I do think that the answers are a bit bias.... especially when I see God by looking at nature as a whole not through looking at human intervention like bread, toast, and books

perhaps if they prayed en mass somewhere like the Sahara, that's remote enough, their god might just take pity on them and give them a civilization in the middle of nowhere, with water, food and shelter. Then I would believe in God... until then, not buying into the crackpottery, but I respect their views and don't judge the people, only the religion.

If you're secure in your own beliefs, why you would arbitrarily feel the need to belittle the faiths of others. Just appreciate that your ability to *make* a choice in your religious beliefs is protected by law. Incidentally, I consider Atheism a religion. Thank you~

Anyone who devotes any time to an organisation that hinges on the belief in something that has all the hallmarks of a fictional character should expect to have the piss taken out of them on a regular basis.

Anyone who is exposed to one opinion for long enough ( especially from childhood ) and is threatened or punished for daring to look beyond their default setting will eventually regard that opinion as all they know, given a little longer, it will become all they believe, regardless of how much proof there is that the opinion that has been drummed into them is completely without a sound basis.

If all you have to offer in defence of religion is the generic "wait and see" routine, then I believe that you should be in a straitjacket.

Once again a poll with no neutral or unbiased answer. I think religion is good for those that need it. I don't think anyone should use their religion to beat down other people. THAT should be against the law and they should be declared mentally ill.

Can the question be reversed??? No belief in GOD...is a mental illness? Look at creation... the stars, moon, mountains, rivers and oceans... the birds of the air, the animals of the sea...and then there is mankind. maybe you should do some biology? Testicles and ovaries. Men make sperm and women are technically born with 'unripe' eggs. Oh and we are made up of trillions of 'bacteria' hence. the real question is; who made bacteria? and, what caused them to make complex life forms? Maybe bacteria are the product of millions of years, but maybe the initial cause of complex life was "god", who knows? I'm still for an unknown reason myself...
