Should people act different because they have a job or have more money than you do?

I think just because you have more money or a job doesn't make you better than the ones who are less fortunte than you.

That is the nature of life, you always act different. When you have money you are generally happy and you are sad when you don't.

Those that work full time and provide for themselves should be proud. If they feel that there are others that fail to do the same, maybe there should be a bit of pressure to help motivate.
Working sucks for everyone but in the mind of a driven person; it has to be done.

No they shouldn't judge at all. One never knows when one will be in the same position. Was unemployed for nine months. No picnic. I had to sell every piece of jewelry I owned to keep my mortgage paid and kids fed. In the end, I had to make some drastic changes to get work.

These are troubling times. Better to be kind and generous because this thing called life is a precarious thing.

No, but on this site some are very insulting in regards to those who don't have a good job. And sadly, too many make fun of the less fortunate.

I don't think money has anything to do with how we should look at people.

Maybe they have a job or have more money than you BECAUSE they act differently than you.

Let's just say I "know" (hint hint) a girl who likes to use her job as a way to win arguements and also as an excuse not to do things I feel like doing.

If you make an attempt to work and do something of your life, I think nothing less of you.

If you don't make an attempt and you sit on your butt and you want me and everybody else who works hard to support you, then you are darn right I think MUCH less of you.

It is a way to gauge others; if they're still your friend when rich/same/poor, then they're a good friend (or at least aren't the bragging types).

They probably don't. It may be ones own passive aggressive defense to cover the feelings of inferiority. We may find some target for anger rather than taking personal responsibility. Enough of the pop psychology, but I thought I would take a shot.

You WOULD think that. That is how Obammy wants you to look at people that actually get off their butts and do something with their lives.

It's not what you have or what you do but who you are as a person that matters. However it seems more and more people are shallow and can't grasp this simple truism.

No certainly not, the two people I know that I consider wealthy and successful are more or less the same people I knew 10 years ago as far is their attitude goes.

Will they act different? Yes. Will they act different? Yes. Should they act different? Depends on the circumstance. Have to ask so many questions. Are they related? Are they friends or casual. Do they live next door? How did they make their money? Throw it in your face? Now that's just plain wrong on so many levels.
