showe274 2012/03/17 00:23:18yes because+8It should never have been illegal. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, consume what you want. If the EPA and the FDA actually gave a damn about harmful substances Monsanto and DuPont wouldn't be spreading frankenseeds and deadly pesticides all over the earth.

i've tried it before its not tht bad!!C:
That aside, it is not a gateway drug, it has no dangers and it is not addictive. The only reason it is not legal is because the government hasn't found a way to tax it and therefore make money off of it.
Look into the research done by Dr. Melanie Dreher who spent over 2 years in Jamaica researching the effects of weed on pregnant women and their children.
But the reality of it all is that marijauna has nothing do do why it's not legal in the United States. The real reason marijuana is not becoming legal is lobbies.
The paper, textiles, biodegradable plastics, construction, health food and fuel lobbies to be exact.
That's because a real close cousin to marijauna is HEMP (marijauna is hemps THC rich cousin), and if marijauna becomes legal, so will hemp become legal, and HEMP is the real problem with industry.
Because HEMP fiber is stronger and softer than cotton, lasts twice as long as cotton, and will not mildew like cotton does.
HEMP is one of the fastest growing biomasses known in the world producing up to 25 tonnes of dry matter per hectare per year, and cotton is about 1/4th of that.
HEMP is very environmentally friendly as it requires few pesticides, cotton requires ten times that.
Hemp produces superior paper than trees do, it produces superior textiles and clothing, biodegradable plastics, construction materials, hemp's oil is healthy for the human bio, and hemp waste can be made into biomass fuel for automobiles.
You can use evey part of the hemp plant for something beneficial for humans, the environment, and the economy.

That's why Marijauna has not become legal, because of HEMP being a major factor industry does not want let out of it's bottle to dominate their greed of selling piss poor products to Americans.
HEMP is superior to all other industrys products, and their lobbies will fight to keep HEMP illegal, and thus so will marijauna stay illegal. All because of greed in industry.
Hemp is legally grown in Canada, Spain, China, Japan, Korea, England, France, Africa, North Africa, Egypt and Ireland, and those nations have used it for the above purposes, and are saving billions of dollars for their people.
In America we still have a democracy where lobbies rule the roost of our government because of kickbacks, payoffs, and incentives given to our greedy political leaders.
I'm with the Green Party, and we want HEMP to be legalized for industry. So Americans can purchase better products at a cheaper price, that last longer.
There is the real reason, and like I stated, it has nothing to do with Marijauna, and how pathetic is that.
Pharmaceutical companies lobby Congress like crazy to keep marijuana illegal.
Anyone can grow weed, and that is not in their best interest. They want people to be dependent on the drugs that only THEY can manufacture and profit from.
