It should never have been illegal. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, consume what you want. If the EPA and the FDA actually gave a damn about harmful substances Monsanto and DuPont wouldn't be spreading frankenseeds and deadly pesticides all over the earth.

I dont like telling people what to do..or how to live..For me personally..I cant stand the stuff..It makes U stink like crap..It gives U the muchies, which I could definitely do without..
And it makes U act stupid..I think it should be legal to use/smoke..but just like with alcohol..U have to be responsible..Keep enforcing D.U.I.s..I hate when stoned people hit
& seriously injure/kill an innocent people..No smoking it while @ work..especially, doctors
/surgeons & nurses..and heavy equipmnt operators..

Only if you want to save money , take the criminal element out of the equation , put more money in the state budget , and because like alcohol stopping people of using does not work . How many years does it take the government to figure this out.

They've figured it out. They just want to keep people thinking about other issues besides what they're trying to do. If it weren't for the lack of sound thinking in congress and the administration, it would be legalized and, therefore, not an issue people can disagree upon, while this government comes up with unbelievably senseless legislation tacked on to the main bill itself and something we don't find out about till later. I choose not to smoke weed. I've tried. Didn't like it. That's my choice.
Ever notice how many people gather around when a police force burns the marijuana they've confiscated?

Yes, & it should be sold like Alcohol & Cigs w/tax! No one has ever died suddenly & tragically from pot. It's the pills...all the Xanax, Oxycondon, Vaium, etc...that is killing people. The worst thing pot does to you is to make you a tad lazy and philosophical. A word of caution: You might drive like an 80 year old, if you're under the influence of weed, as it makes you a cautious driver. Of course, I don't know any of this from experience. That's what people tell me!

After alot of thought, I do think it should be legalized, The Tax revenue alone would bring us a more closely balanced budget, and it is not nearly as harmful as alcohol wich is legal & kills so many people every day; drunk driving, spousal abuse, Liver failure ect.
I don't believe it is a gateway drug-I was 14 when inroduced to Marijauna and never have wanted to escelate to other street drugs, It might help lower the amount of drug crimes in our country

Of course it should be legal. So much safer than drinking and smoking cig.. I know lots of people who still smoke it well past sixty. None of the health problems you have doing the other things. Such a stupid law that needs to be changed.Would love to see everyone in Congress have to take the test. LOL Probably have to pass it then.

who are you preaching to? i posted the UK drug chart for reason which is to show cannabis is rated BENEATH tobacco while tabbaco and alcohol are rated closer to heroin and cocain especially alcohol

I would like to begin this by mentioning that I, myself, do not partake. That being said, I think just about all illicit narcotics should be legalized and taxed. It is hypocritical to make them illegal when alcohol and nicotine, two of the most addictive substances, are legal. It is an absolute waste of tax money trying to stop them.

That is all the answer needed. The track record in this country, is. Once you legalize on thing, ten other things follow in lock step. If you need drugs mind numbing drugs of any kind to get through your day. Then you have a problem, and if you don't your opening the door to other problems. Life is already hard enough in the world, why compound it with drugs or alcohol?

Because the same numbder of people smoke it weather or not it's illegal. However it does keep criminals in bussiness, and the war on drugs in our streets.... then again, drug dealers don't ask for ID at the school yard, which is where people get started, so you're right, it should stay illegal!
