Should kids under 16 be tried as adults ?

Since one's mind does not develop to the point at which one can fully understand and appreciate the relationship between one's actions and the consequences of those actions until one is at least 27 years of age, maybe we should cut them some slack if the crime does not involve permanent injury or death.
In saying what I just said above I am by no meaqns sure that that would be the way to go; I'm just trying to be completely fair.
But in those cases where an individual permanently injures or kills another, they should definiterely be tried as an adult.
One of the major down sides to not trying kids under 16 is that gangs have adopted the policy of training members under this age as professional assassins to do their killings.

Depends on the crime. If it was intended rape or murder, then yes.

Kids are not as innocent as people like to make them out to be. Kids are manipulative little bastards who use your ignorance to their advantage in order to get off from their crimes and odds they meant to do what they did and will do it again when they'll feel like it.
Though generally you have a hard time pulling off something like that twice with the same kid... but never underestimate the powers of mass stupidity.

There's a difference between intentional and accidental as well, anyone with half a brain would be able to tell a difference in a court case. Sadly most times the jurors don't have half a brain.

They released them both, gave them new identities, what we pay for...and now he has been arrested again for downloading child porn and posing as a mother wanting to sell her 8 yr old daughter for sex. They were 10 yrs old when they murdered Jamie, and some of the things they done to that child were horrific..can't even put it into words.
