By now, if you haven't seen "The Hunger Games" at least once, you've read that it raked in the third-best opening weekend of all time. So it makes sense that everyone is trying to cash in as much as possible. And Mattel is no different. The company's Barbie Collector is producing a custom collectible doll inspired by heroine Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence in the movie.

The doll is "created specifically for the adult collector," Mattel told The Hollywood Reporter. That's weird ... how many adults do you know who are into Katniss, let alone Katniss and Barbie dolls? If you've read the books or seen the movie, you know that Katniss is a very tough chick ... one who probably wouldn't take very kindly to being made into a Barbie doll, thank you very much.
But "Hunger Games" merchandise is officially out of control. You can wear "Hunger Games"-themed nail polish, take a "Hunger Games" workout class, make recipes from a "Hunger Games" cookbook and buy countless T-shirts, mugs and more. Do you think Katniss should be made into a Barbie doll? Or is this strong female character too bold to be a Barbie?

No way

gross. noooo way.
And what are The Huger Games??
plus if it does become a kids toy girls would need a stronger role model then i blonde "bimbo" (don't get me wrong i love barbie i used to have dolls of her when i was little) they need one that wouldn't be a rich girl that magically becomes a doctor or vet or scientist
the girls that are tom-boys would love a katniss doll cause it'd make them feel that it's alright to be a tom-boy and not all interested in the colour pink or fairies or unicorns or princesses or "their dream wedding"
Eh, whatever. Someone's going to be making money somewhere for it so why not.
