with that. NOTHING should be cloned.
To the extent that the institution of civil government is not an enemy of human rights - and we've all got our thoughts about that, don't we? - it should not oppose the exercise of those rights in seeking alternative methods of reproduction.
The only proper role for government is to provide a reliable agency for the exercise of our natural individual right to use deadly force in the defense of our rights.
NOT to violate those rights.
Should government thugs be ALLOWED to criminalize human cloning?
Somebody come up with an argument for that, why don'tcha?
I've read stories where people had clones created and kept in storage, simply for spare parts. Again, do you think that wouldn't happen in real life?
"Clone rights" would end up being the new civil rights issue. Cloning would create more trouble than it's worth.
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR... really think I would commit sucide then.
If you can "duel" with your penis, I'm not sure if your wife is happy or not.
Allot of people posting are worried about overpopulation. But only the wealthy would be able to afford cloning, and wealthy area's are proven to have negative growth rates. The existence of cloning would have no affect on the 3rd world popping out a small army of children per family, so I don't see how this argument holds weight.
Take a look over the changes in growth rates per country in the last 50 years ;)
