RU486 was given that and it has been known to kill users but that never makes the LWNJ evening news, so most people don't even know it.

If they are medications with a beneficial use or treatment yes. I wonder if this "approval" in the US process is not really intended to prevent competition. Something to look at i guess.

It should be a personal choice what one puts in one's body.

Well it should be looked into at least. Major countries of the world should try to standardize drug approval to make everyone's life easier ... and possibly provide cheaper drugs.

Why not, all flu vaccines are made their. Good enough for the flu then it's good enough for everything else.

Why not? Wouldn't it simplify government folderol?

As far as I'm concerned anything that cuts the power of the FDA is a good thing. :)

My husband had cancer and in Japan they had a drug that worked for years and my husband could not get it because it was not approved in the US yet!

We run several tests to ensure the safety to the public. Since other countries don't scrutinize as much as we do, sometimes a goo drug is delayed being approved by us.

I only said no because there was no option for in some instances, yes. Many drugs have protocols that vary and are different from what the FDA considers "safe". Of course that could be double talk for not enough profit.
