I think women wear a lot of pants these days even to business but in the hot weather a skirt is so much more comfortable than anything else. Especially a longer and loose fitting skirt with elastic waistband. There is good reason that even men in hot countries wear something other than pants. Skirts allow for the air to move around and keep you cool even if you look slim and trim in pants.

No contest... A SKIRT. Especially in summer. I tried this for myself to see what the fuss is all about and I'm a guy (obviously not homophobic or sexually insecure like many). I found a short skirt to be the most practical thing a guy can wear. No crotch seams IS a BIG deal guys! Can't speak for the gals but the coolness and freedom of movement was fantastically better than short or pants. I made the Cargo Mini Skirt a permanent part of my wardrobe and don't give a rats @ss what others think...

I feel more comfortable in jeans than in shorts or skirts. Although dresses "skirt" category would be a close second especially airy summer dresses.

I think a skirt not only looks good it also conveys a sense of being a woman since men don't wear skirts but men do wear shorts and pants. Besides the idea that if clothes make men then lingerie makes a woman works better with a skirt.
