Sex No Longer Sells for Abercrombie & Fitch: Do You Shop There?

Abercrombie & Fitch has relied on sex to sell their products since the '90s, and they thrived for years despite facing controversy for selling sexy underwear to 10-year-old girls, and placing pornographic material throughout the store.

But it looks like even the oldest marketing trick in the book can no longer save the retail chain: they've lost a third of their market value and within the next three years will have closed over 250 US stores. Will you miss Abercrombe & Fitch if they end up going out of business? Do you still shop there?

I don't even like walking past the place. I avoid it completely if I can.

The only place I can stand logos with words is at the gym. Now A & E is almost as tacky as Aeropostale. Almost.

I don't shop there, but your moral outrage at the store makes me wish there was one nearby so that I could.

PPPPPPFFFFF That overpriced cheap material garbage. I'll shop at the GAP (nothing wrong with it because I do, it's just one of that people make fun of sorry) before I go there

I know this sounds really hipster... but I go out of my way to avoid stores like that. It's just not my style. That, American Eagle, and Aeropostal are off limits for me because they don't really have nice clothes, mostly just crap with their logos stamped across it. Not my style.

No, they made out for too many years that my dollars weren't necessary to their survival...My skin was too dark. It ruined their image to even have me in seen in the stores. I'll see their stores boarded up as I go to the next shop to buy my clothes; and I shop - I have to maintain a crisp, fresh professional look but I don't need THEM to do it. They need money more than I need them.... F*CK 'em....

NO. I clicked Yes on accident.

No seriously, I've never even set foot in an Abercrombie & Fitch store, nor do I plan to. Ever.

Let me get this out of the way, it smells in those stores, there is no need for an overdose of perfume. There is no way people in their right minds are going to buy a $60 shirt that they are probably going to once or twice in their lifetime.
I hate when companies use sex appeals for stupid things like clothes and shoes (like the sketcher commercial with kim kardashian in it.)

And for the same reason I won't buy food from Hardee's. I get tired of every time I turn around they're coming out with some new sexually charged ad or commercial. It gets old FAST.

Or Hollister. Their clothes are worthless without the logo. I prefer Jack & Jones, they're better quality and gave nice fits.

EXCELLENT! Should have happened years ago, at the behest of an angry mob with pitchforks. :O)
