Selena Gomez Unveils Ad for New Fragrance: Do You Like Her All-Grown-Up Look?

Who says you shouldn't get in the water with your clothes on? Selena Gomez is hard at work promoting her new fragrance -- and a more grown-up look to go with it. In a photo shoot for the scent, 19-year-old Gomez splashes around in a tank full of pinkish-purple water, wearing a sexy, strapless deep purple gown. Her hair is wet, but she's wearing plenty of makeup.

"I wanted it to look like I was swimming in my fragrance," Justin Bieber's girlfriend told People. "It’s very romantic, very sensual," she added. "But it’s fun and beautiful at the same time." As for the perfume bottle, it's shaped like a purple gown; the topper consists of metallic lips resembling balloons:

WWD reports that the fragrance will include "top notes of orange, pineapple, peach, and raspberry; a heart of purple freesia, Cosmone musk, and dewberry, and a drydown of amber, vanilla, chocolate, and coconut." It will be sold at Macy's for $45 and $55 beginning in mid-May.

Gomez says she hopes this is the first in a series of "Selena Gomez" fragrances. "Each will represent me as I am at that time," she told WWD. "It’s kind of me winging it. I definitely like to wing things."

Im not that fond of her to start with. she kind of seems slutty the way she is all over justin beiber in the pics of their trip, a little inappropriate for someone supposedly a role model for young girls, dont cha think? ijs.

In those paparazzi photos, she and Justin were just doing what a lot of young girls with boyfriends do. She's still a role model, but she's also still a teen, too.

thats not a role model. you do that in private i believe she couldve waited until she was off of the beach. pda is a little inappropriate in public. im a teen myself and i dont do that. i just think it was a little slutty, and they way she was all over him its kinda like she was too eager, i hope role models dont make sex in teen yeears seem like a good thing.

I'm not saying she's responsible for Justin. I'm saying that you can't put all of it on her just because she's older and is supposed to be a role model. So is Justin Bieber, but I don't hear him getting blamed for anything. She's not perfect, and she doesn't try to be. Get her off the pedestal.

The ad reminds me of an agitator in a top loading clothes washing machine. Weird. And I clicked on this blog hoping to see a grown up picture. Where is it? :)

I do know this. If I went to one of her concerts, I'd feel ripped off. She sucks really bad live. Her talent is synthetic and studio limited.

two things 1st. if i say that she is hot the cops propably would take me to their closest jail because of her age, she might be 18 but look at her face and body and second and most important of all when she is older she can wear these kind of clothes as much as she like but right now for her age is not for this kind of clothes.

I actually like the ad from the neck down. It is very appealing and I like the idea, but her face just doesn't fit. She is a very cute girl and can do sexy in other shoots but here it just didn't work. She still just looks too young to pull this type of shoot off properly.

I think shes just trying to look attractive and not trying to be really sexual about it, It just looks like something people would do if they wanted to do a really over boarded senior picture.... a lot of girls like miley and britney probably were into a lot more risqué pictures around this age, so people should be glad that shes trying to be attractive and not a sexual girl image they can leave that to when theyre a little bit older and maybe not on disney channel or whatever, but its their life they can dress how they want

She has a baby face. She looks younger than 19, so even though she's of age, she doesn't look it. (I can understand that though. I'm 23 and get mistaken for a 16 year old quite often). I'm just not really a fan of the ad/photos.
