In case you haven't heard, Selena Gomez is almost 20 years old. So there's no reason why she shouldn't be posing in a sexy photo shoot for Elle magazine. However, for some of her Disney fans, pics like these are kind of weird.

One thing is clear: Justin Bieber's girlfriend, who will next be seen in an indie flick, is all grown up. "I get offered the teenybopper movies, and I've done that. I haven't done a mega-hundred-billion-dollar Transformers movie, but that's not what I want to do either," she tells the mag.

But she has no regrets about her Disney roots. "Disney is a machine, so people automatically assume that you can't work for the channel unless you act and sing and dance and sign up for all that. That's absolutely not true. I always did everything the way I wanted to do it," she says.

Gomez grew up poor -- "I can remember about seven times when our car got stuck on the highway because we'd run out of gas money" -- but these days, she's enjoying being spoiled by the Biebs, who recently rented out LA's Staples Center for a private screening of "Titanic." "If I'll share anything with you, it's that he really is a hopeless romantic. I had just mentioned it in the car - all I said is that I really want to see Titanic again, and then..." She's like 20, I mean she isn't pregnant, addicted to drugs(as far as I know), or posing nude.
I'd say she's done pretty good for a disney star!

this girl has been a great role model i like her very much, she has done well at keeping her head held high while the other disney stars turned themselves into trash.ok not all of them ,but alot . her mother should be very proud .

The problem is, everything now days is so sex oriented. It is becoming to shallow and tasteless. There is more to life and a person than sex. Normally, that has a tendency to be many a person/relationships downfall. I know it is old hat but how about the beauty inside that age does not affect and is what truly counts. We have lost our way.

Like it's written up there, she is almost 20 years old, meaning she is an adult. Just because she is a Disney star doesn't mean it isn't appropriate.

I don't see the problem. It was legal to pose topless for newspapers from age 16 up to 2003 when they put the age up to 18. !9 would be counted as being a bit long in the tooth!
