In case you haven't heard, Selena Gomez is almost 20 years old. So there's no reason why she shouldn't be posing in a sexy photo shoot for Elle magazine. However, for some of her Disney fans, pics like these are kind of weird.

One thing is clear: Justin Bieber's girlfriend, who will next be seen in an indie flick, is all grown up. "I get offered the teenybopper movies, and I've done that. I haven't done a mega-hundred-billion-dollar Transformers movie, but that's not what I want to do either," she tells the mag.

But she has no regrets about her Disney roots. "Disney is a machine, so people automatically assume that you can't work for the channel unless you act and sing and dance and sign up for all that. That's absolutely not true. I always did everything the way I wanted to do it," she says.

Gomez grew up poor -- "I can remember about seven times when our car got stuck on the highway because we'd run out of gas money" -- but these days, she's enjoying being spoiled by the Biebs, who recently rented out LA's Staples Center for a private screening of "Titanic." "If I'll share anything with you, it's that he really is a hopeless romantic. I had just mentioned it in the car - all I said is that I really want to see Titanic again, and then..." She's like 20, I mean she isn't pregnant, addicted to drugs(as far as I know), or posing nude.
I'd say she's done pretty good for a disney star!

... It is rare. Even she went nude, hey, to each their own.

It's so sad how true it is, haha. It's like I thikn about all the disney stars I looked up to and now I'm like "damn.... glad I didn't try to be EXACTLY like them."

Normally I would say too sexy, but she's trying to back out of her Disney phase and show she's more grown up. Normally I'd say there are better ways to show your older than dressing provacatively, but we all have our methods.

She's growing up, wants to be her own girl and not a servent of Disney for the rest of her life. History (with help from the tabloids) shows us that a lot of young celebrities can do worse.

amusing how in the comments, its the girls whom are claiming she doesn't have 'it' to be sexy, but looking at these pictures she looks pretty darn sexy to me, but anyway, saying she can't do a shoot like this because of her past is like saying she's not allowed to grow up, that she must stay that same disney star forever.

Age appropriate, yes, but she is not sexy. People need to accentuate their best features. Unfortunately her best feature is not sexiness. Doesn't mean she isn't attractive, it just means she isn't sexy. Whenever people try to be something that they aren't, it doesn't work.

You would also realize than women mature faster than men. So a woman is usually complete in her growing cycle by the time they are around her age. What is she 20 21?
