Scripps National Spelling Bee: Do you consider yourself a good speller?

In an internet era where seemingly every other word is misspelled, it's comforting to know that there are kids every year who will never mix up "your" and "you're". Yup, it's time for the Scripps National Spelling Bee where eighth-grade students like Mouctika L. Paluri are frustrated when they can't spell "laeotropous" (which I think means "coiled in a leftward direction"). The Scripps National Spelling Bee is in its 63rd year and the excitement and coverage of the event has not waned. If you want a movie recommendation, you should check out "Spellbound", an entertaining documentary on the Scripps spelling bee.
Do you think you have good spelling skills? Of course, this could just be like asking people whether they think they are above-average drivers: Most people will say yes (not possible for the majority to be above-average, at least median-wise) because many people overestimate their skills.

I'm going to pretend it's a huge deal and totally serious business, poking fun at the too-intense competition. It's going to be a lot of work, but fun. Spelling is a crusial skill!
My Niece, Jazmyne Holwegner, won her School District's Spelling Bee. Jazmyne, we are so proud of you!!!
We were so hoping that she would be going to Scripp's National. She made an error (She said e instead of an a) and as soon as it came out of her mouth, she corrected it, but it still disqualified her.
Then you see some of the questions posted here on SH by our 'youth' that make me want to vomit with the way they misspell and can't create a decent sentence!!!
However, my favorite word has to be this one:
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilic-
ovolcanoconiosis
(Sorry, I had to split it up and put it on two lines. SH wouldn't accept it on one.)
