Saudi Arabia Serving Camel Burgers! Want to try a baby Camel burger?

A fast food chain in Saudi Arabia is offering baby Camel burgers now. Camel liver has been a menu item already for some time, but not camel burgers. Saudi Arabia is one of the most camel crazy countries, so these camel burgers were met with great enthusiasm. Camel meat is low in fat, so now you can order a 'hashi' burger at some fast food restaurants.

You'd have to make 'ground meat' out of it; you could chew a chunk of camel so long you could blow bubbles from it and it still wouldn't go down. As it is, a camel-burger would be like chewing a few thousand BB's.
Flat nasty.
A baby camel burger has got to be better for the environment, third world countries and your health than 99 cent burgers from Mc Donalds.
It is a little fatty, somewhat like pork.
I prefer to start by boiling it until the meat is just about falling off the bone, and then finish cooking it by roasting in an oven or cooking on the BBQ.
If you boil it first to remove most of the fat, it tastes quite a bit like beef.
And baby camel is more tender than full grown, just like lamb and veal are more tender than mutton or beef.
Just remember that when you are the guest of honor and a whole camel or lamb is roasted, you are expected to be honored when you are served the eyeballs!
Saudis love to watch Westerners reaction to being served eyeballs!
I guess it makes sense for them to serve them when they have so many camels there. I'll be interested to see how many meat-eaters say no they wouldn't eat them, what's the difference between eating lambs or cows or pigs and eating camels?
