Governments should not be running around banning companies for perfectly legal speech. What the Chick-fil-A CEO said was legal and done in a civil way.

I would support Chick-Fil-A's right for freedom of speech by eating there. Why is it if you don't support gay marriage, you are a hater? They never said anything hateful like "all gays should die." Instead of protesting against the company, why not protest against Muslim owned businesses since they actually kill homosexuals? The LGT movement is only tolerant as long as you agree with them, personally I believe anyone should be allowed to marry who they want but I don't support them for their hatefulness against others who don't believe in gay marriage

If people were more genuine honest, you'd be surprised to know that many share the same biblical beliefs of Chic-fil-A owner. Doesn't the owner have a right to his belief, are we living in a society where you're only accepted if you go with what others want you to go with, and think as they would have you think?

He has every right in the world to believe what he believes. And I have every right to disagree with him...and to choose where to spend my money.

It might interest you to know that, although I am decidedly heterosexual, I have supported gay rights since the early 1970s when it was not a popular cause and have gotten a lot of flak for that, including from my own family. Many of us do think for ourselves. Is it really so hard to believe that intelligent, independent people of goodwill might disagree with you?

Those who do not approve of same sex relationships are thinking for themselves as well. I don't have a heaven or a hell to put anyone in, but in my opinion there is something very gross, strange, not right about same sex relationships, it borders on down right pervertedness in my opinon, and contrary to what you might believe, many agree with my take on same sex relationships. When I die, I will die for me, and me only, likewise while I am living I will not be persuaded to engage in or take part in pervertedness. While working as a Rehabilitation Specialist, I never met a happy bi-sexual person, they always had a fight within, and most women generally ended up with a man.

You are certainly right for you. I have never been in a same sex sexual relationship and, frankly, I find the idea unconscionable. I just am open to the idea that a homosexual person of either gender would find an opposite sex sexual relationship equally repulsive. No thinking person would willingly participate in any act s/he found perverted and, I agree, what you do and what you feel is just your business.

You are free to express your views, as I am free to express mine...and Mr. Cathy is free to express his. And we are all free to disagree with each other.

I agree, however, there is no such thing as Mr. Cathy, you are either a he or a she. You are what you are, like it or not.

Good for you, I will have all my friends on FB and they will send it on to all their friends as well. I am straight but I just don't like the crazy's like Mr. Cathy that think what they believe is right. I hate fast food anyhow but I do admit that they do have decent food but I will never again buy anything from Chic fill-a again till the owner says he is sorry. This will not happen so I will get everyone I know to boycott this ass hole's place. Yes he has freedom of speech but so do I ! We need to hit him in his pocketbook and that will do the trick. ! Thank you for helping us have equal rights. I sometimes know when people behave different with me but I don't get upset, I just walk away and never return if its a business. I don't get upset because I know they have a right to not like me. But It is different in these kinds of cases.
Lets say Cathy or one of his managers came up to me in one of his restaurants and said to me... I don't agree with your lifestyle its a sin, I am married to my first wife and I will fund organizations that will keep you from getting married.

Does he as a sane business person actually expect me to be a loyal customer, stay there and eat and encourage the people who love me to be his customers? Hell NO!
