Russia's Putin says the West is on the decline. Agree?

In the past decade the West has spent over a trillion dollars in SW Asia--an area of no strategic importance to the West. On the other hand, the Chinese, who actually do need to worry about what is going on in Asia, has actually made money, through the interest on their loans, because of the chaos in that part of the world. In recent years the East has just acted smarter than the West--and the result has been a shift in the balance of power.

But two things are also very certain: 1) This aint the first time we've been down, and we managed to pull ourselves back up. 2) These ass clowns have been saying the West is on the decline since the end of WWII, so I really don't give a rat's ass what they think (we've shown them how wrong they were before).

But it's still better than that cesspool they call Russia.

At least it is with the lying socialist traitor Obama at the helm.

Obama's on the decline and trying to take America with him. We will right the ship as we have dozens of times in the past. There's still a core group of Americans who believe in hard work, competition, and winning--and they'll carry even the dead weight of the OWS crowd across the finish line.

But as the West declines, so does the rest of the world. Another Rome falling. Another Dark Ages to come.

Not really. Even after Rome fell, the Middle East and Asia continued to thrive. And even after the Middle East (sort of) fell, Europe and America continued to thrive.

We're making every classic mistake that has brought down super powers before us. So sad we haven't learned from history so we can avoid what now appears to be inevitable.

But that doesn't mean it has to continue. You also have to consider that the rest of the world is catching up which makes it seem worse than it is, but it is bad.

It is very obvious that the West is in decline and Russia is more a part of the West than the East. The West's decline is due to sending its production and jobs to the East in a greedy binge by Corporations to maximize profits with cheap labor. All they have really succeeded in doing is send a lot of money overseas to fuel the growth of the East and begin the decline of the West!

Well duh! With few exceptions, all areas of the world are on the decline. If Russia isn't declining as fast it's because the Russian economy has always been in the toilet. Even China is experiencing economic problems. Japan went through serious economic decline.
What's laughable about this are all the dimwits who agree with Putin AND BLAME OBAMA! Okay my under-educated fellow citizens: the economy went bad DURING THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION. Your Republican representatives in Congress have conspired to continue the malaise and were quite forthright about it: they said from Obama's first day in office they would say no to all Obama/Democrat proposals because their number one priority is to make Obama a one term president. Mitch McConnell, and others, said this in front of television cameras!
But you will continue to support the a-holes who created this disaster because .... because ... I can't think of a logical reason, but I'm sure there will be really insane, goofy and melodramatic replies that will make absolutely no sense and bare no resemblance to reality.

It seems pretty obvious to me. Just look at the West's birth rates. Just demographically we are doomed. Muslims on the other hand are popping out little Muhammed's at about 4 to 5 times the highest Western birth rates. They don't need jihad to beat us, just wait and out populate us. The future will either belong to China or Islam, but I really doubt we have much of a chance in the long run. Our birth rate is just at break even now. Most indigenous European's are below replacement rate. Have more babies girls/women, or game over for Western Civilization.

The world's population now is 7 billion plus. All a larger population is going to do is hasten the decline. Lets start by trying to find a way to make the people we do have be more intelligent and better able to compete against all the other nations out there. Who by the way, are kicking out butt at virtually every turn. Except perhaps building bigger a better bombs. Got news for ya. You can't bomb your way into getting the world to regain their respect for us. All that is going to accomplish is to instill fear. Fear is a negative and no matter how hard you try or how you distort things to convince yourself that you can. You can never pull a lasting positive out of a negative. Just ask anyone who was influential in the old USSR.

Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has identified the burgeoning national debt as the single largest threat to U.S. national security.

Isn't this pretty much exactly how the Roman Empire drove the nails in its own coffin?
