Russian laws on Gay rights

I noticed that gay rights is a heated subject here on Sodahead, here's Russia's opinion on it: Before 1993, all homosexual acts where ILLEGAL. And it's about to be re-illegalized. Anyway Russia is one of the most hostile countrys in the world to Homosexuals. I'm pretty sure if someone brings up a gay pride flag in Russia, it's going to get burned. And Gays had a to keep a low profile durning the Soviet period, So pretty much homos in Russia have no rights. (now I see why there is alot of gays in the USA.
