I would take photos with my camera phone, and call 911 immediately....I would not physically intervene, that would be stupid...but I do carry a pistol in my car...so I am not afraid....
For sure I would at least let them know I see them, and make a big show of calling cops. Especially if they would be spray painting or such. TP, maybe not so much as there were some toilet paper incidents in my youth...over houses, in trees, etc.
Actually, the homeowner usually cleans it up, and makes their kids help. I had a friend who made her kids clean it up, put it in baskets and USE it. She is a trip!
I would try to draw NO attention to myself as I called the police and gave them as much info as possible. It is what they are trainned to do. A car is an item that feels no pain. . . I Do feel pain so I would not want to put myself in a position making that the possible outcome.

Yes, that is the only bad thing about having animals....I just visited him at his grave this morning.....I have tons of animals buried on my property...
