Weddings ring more than wedding bells -- weddings ring up high priced cakes, right? Not for long! The recession has forced some brides and grooms to look into less expensive alternatives. Supermarkets now offer wedding cakes that cost between $200 - $400 USD. Custom cakes can cost over $1,000. The supermarkets still offer some customization including monograms and personalized decorations.
