R.I.P. Daisy 2008 - 2012

She was the friendliest cutest little Yorkie that you would ever come across. R.I.P. Daisy I'll miss you. Daisy was a big inspiration to me regarding most of the "pet type" questions that i ask here on SH. If you have been on my friends list long enough i'm sure that you have noticed that i do quite a few of those polls. Sunday evening she was acting kind of "off" but she was still running around the house and begging us for table scraps and barking at birds and squirrels out the window like any other day. Monday morning we found her lying on the floor barely breathing. Rushed her to the animal hospital. maybe an hour later, she was gone. It makes no sense she was so young and full of life and playful, then just all the sudden, she's gone.

What happened to her? aww she was adorable. My cat died recently as well

I'm so sorry my little "Mac daddy" passed away a year ago on Halloween.Although I've a new pup who is special in his own right...nothing will replace the love I had for that little loyal doggy.I keep his ashes on my dresser.

Always tough to lose a treasured friend. When we bring an animal into our lives, there are transitions that occur if we take time to notice. Over time we gain their trust and once that happens comes the bonding. Once we have bonded with them comes love and devotion they convey to us unrestricted. We become their world and they are so eager tp please as they do it with love. If we love them, they love us more. Look into an animals eyes and it tells us much.

Ah man... I'm so sorry to hear about this N. Zane...

I know there's nothing anyone could say to make that "feeling" you have inside ya right now go away - only time can do that (barely) - but my heart bleeds for you nevertheless.

I understand and that's why I don't think I'll get another pet. I get way too attached and have already had far too much loss in my life.
I could easily change my mind in the future, but not right now.
Good luck and keep your chin up. Not easy.

i know what you mean. Dad already bought a new puppy for us. She's cute and having her around helps ease the pain but no one could ever replace Daisy, she was special.

Sorry about your Daisy. I lost a dog two years ago and still miss him. We went to the shelter after he died and adopted a dog - black lab. They family lost their home to foreclosure and we took her in. Wonderful dog.

sorry to hear of your loss poor kitty I love cats too. Daisy suddenly became sick and whatever it was that she contracted took her away from us in less than 2 days. To fast for anyone to do anything for her, or to even say for sure what illness had befallen her.

that sucks you couldn't have a chance to find out what was wrong though! May she rest in peace! I'm sure she had a good life for the short time she was with you. If it got her that fast it was probably for the best that she got to spend her last days with you.

it was so sudden. she was acting kinda weird sunday evening and one of our other dogs had just gotten over a cold so we thought she had caught it too and would be better after a couple of days like the other dog. Woke up monday morning and she was lying on the floor barely breathing and not moving. took her to the animal hospital. she passed away maybe an hour later. the vet said she had accumulated to much fluid in her lungs. We loved that little dog so much and she was way to young.

Thanks for your answer to have take time to explain me , i understand and i think you did the best for your dog , it's sad but it's life . I hope your other dog is well .

I'm sorry for your poor little dog. My aunt and uncle also had a lovely little dog called daisy and she lived a long, interesting life for a dog and died few years ago. I hope her soul is out there somewhere.

Take care and know that you experienced the real joy of having a pup which you bonded with. Dogs are mans best friend. I wish this didn't have to happen, our beautiful friends cross over but one day they will welcome us home again. Take care. I know how tough it is. A lot of us do.
