It is my sad task to inform you all that our friend we all knew as "the Thinking Woman" suddenly passed away on Saturday April 14 2012.
I received this news via an e-mail from a friend who took care of the running business and found my e-mail address in her laptop.
What she always told me that she had diabetes turned out to be pancreatic cancer and when this was discovered it was too late.
Every morning I got up at 5 am to chat with her , because of the time difference between the Netherlands this was 10 pm her local time..
I grew to love her very much and knew Thinking Woman very well and on a personal level, we even had future plans together..
She was a lovely gentle compassionate woman and I loved every chat or talk in Skype where I sometimes sang her a song playing my guitar..
Then , sometimes she did not come online but the next day she was there again and told me she had been to the hospital because of her diabetes and it was nothing to worry about ..
But this was never more than 1 day 2 days at most .
On the morning of April 14 she came online also after have been away for a few days in the hospital.. as usual she did not want me to worry..
Then it went silent ..
After a week she still had not been online I GOT worried and asked everyone if they heard anything of the Thinking Woman..
My worries came true in the worst possible way when I received the message of her passing .
On Sodahead the Thinking Woman was a true liberal atheist freethinker who saw through the conservative smokescreens like they were not there and slapped the posters with irrefutable facts and knowledge.
Well what do you expect, she had several PHD's and used to be a high school English teacher.
Her clear view of reality got her the usual insulting replies from radical christian/conservatives who could not win the "debate"
Most of the knowledge I have about America and its systems I learned from her.
She also was a woman who took great pride in her native American heritage and she could talk to horses , a true horse whisperer.
The Thinking woman also was a great lover of nature and life ..
The past year has been one of problems and hardship to her , but like the woman she was , she did not wanted to worry any one so most of you may never have noticed it.
I think I was one of the few who knew what was really going on.
She leaves a huge gap in my personal life that cannot easily be filled..
With love , to a lady who died too soon

ProudProgressive 2012/04/30 15:27:08+23She was a true friend, a dependable fellow combatant for truth, and had a heart as big as anyone I've ever known. The world seems a little sadder today. Rest in Peace, my dear friend.

She was amazing and almost every day that we were on the same post was a "high-five" day, reaffirming my faith in the future of America. She was the best in all of us.
I'm crying all over keyboard and everything but, I have to remind myself that her suffering is over and that she's at peace. She's probably laughing her celestial ass off at how us living people are such ridiculous petty drama-queens.
She was Rock & Roll. She was America. She was my good friend. I thank God I sort of knew her. I pray that she's happy and at peace.
I can't be angry.
I can't be selfish.
I can't be scornful.
I can't lose perspective.
I can't hate the situation.
I will cry.
I will mourn.
I will cherish.
I will remember.
I will honor.
I will continue the fight.
I will be grateful for the time and opportunity.
I will continue.
R.I.P., "The Thinking Woman".
Thank you for lighting up our stupid world with you life.
Cernunnos walks at my side
Armed with sword and staff,
And in the hardest of times,
My tears, My fears fly before him. He
Looks into my eyes; and with open
Arms, he welcomes me,
Turning my cares and worries
To nothing.
In the hardest of times,
It was He who answered my prayers
And He who brought me out
Of the deepest depths of depression.
I raise my hands in prayer,
To Cernunnos, Lord of the Earth
He who was the first of any to die,
And the first of any to be reborn.
A child of love and Light is comming
Welcome her into your open arms
and hold her with your love Till we can all be together again
.She lived as she wanted
Fighting for free will and peace
Science and reason guided
Thinking woman walk the Ancient Pathways,
Through Dark and Light she goes,
Through lands of untold Magick
Where in strength and love she grow.
And though her love is darkness
And her strength is found in lust
And she hunger for the knowledge
That lays hidden in the dust,
Thinking woman remembers that her heart is pure,
That her mind holds secret sight
Thus, from the darkness that she travels
Grows a soul imbued with light
When she awakes, she ever breaths life to us
her eyes open just as our do
she sees what has been
she sees what is
she sees what will be
She open her arms to embrace us all with love
as impenetrable as a diamond
as soft as fresh snow
as warm as a mothers embrace
we long to see her awake
we dream when she is asleep
we live as she lives
laugh when she laughs
cry when she cry's
we are apart of her and her us
never let us be parted
So Mote it Be )0(
All the tender loving stuff about resting in peace though? Well, she was an atheist. If she was right, she is simply rotting on the ground. If she was wrong, her rest will be anything but peaceful.
Spiritual atheist? That's a good one. Do you think the Big Guy is going to buy it? No, I don't either.
