Religious VS spirituality? Is there a difference? What do you think?

From what I experience the main difference is that Religion usually follows a certain Doctrine of rules, commandments, disciplines, traditions etc... Spirituality, however, has no such governing rules. Basically everyone is spiritual. You don't need anything to be spiritual. Most just feel into it. Religion is sort of an Extension upon that. For example Love is something spiritual. A traditional marriage would be considered a "religious tradition" (assuming everything goes well) of that spiritual connection.

religious follow a organised dogmatic doctrine, spiritualists have their own individuals principles on belief in the supernatural.

Well spiritual people tend to just beleive in some sort of higher power be it a god or force and may use a religion's example like the Christian god but aren't really a part of the religion and may have a different set of values altogether.

Religious people are religious because they fear Hell. Spiritual people are Spiritual because they have been through Hell !

Not all religions believe in hell though. I think that religious tend to take their religion's doctrines much more literally than the rest. Good points though! Thanks!

I think it's changed overall. The meaning doesn't seem to be the same as it once was.
