Sweetheart, that's not true, while I will agree that some do look like you leave your hair to do whatever it wants, and maybe some even do, that's not how it's done. Your hair has to be twisted for a start, and things such as beeswax and styling products have to be applied to get it to stay together, some even use tread which is later removed. The bad thing is, there are too many people with unkept hair running around and making it seem like a dirty unflattering thing. It's not, if it's done "properly". All and all.
