I know this is a strange topic, but I honestly want to know which one people think is worse. I know people who have said that murder is worse than rape and people who have said the opposite. What do you think?

Both are terrible. I was sort of leaning towards Rape being worse, (because you have to live with this trauma for the rest of your life) but really they are both horrible horrible horrible.

This is a tough question. I lean towards murder as being the worse, but but I can't fully commit to that. It's just the effects are different for both. Both are lasting, just not necessarily for the victim of murder. Both can have adverse effects on other than the victim as well.

Murder is worse.
Two distant, long dead German cousins were gang-raped by Soviet soldiers in 1945, like hundreds of thousands of other German women. They were glad they survived. The only man in the family, who was one woman's son, and the other one's husband, was killed.

We had that question in sociology class and we never found an answer. I think they're equally grave to be honest though some people seem to think that there's no difference between rape and normal consensual sex.

This was a tough one, but I had to say murder for these points:

1. You can recover from rape, you can't recover from murder: you would be dead.

2. Even though rape is more heinous emotionally than murder, murder still tromps rape as you will be alive afterwards (if it is just rape).

3. You always hear about rape victims having good lives afterwards, even if they had to go through a long emotional/mental healing process, but you never hear about murder victims coming back to life and living a life again...

i think that murder is worse because someone is dieing. Rape, yes you can die from it by getting killed but sometimes they survive and at least they get a chance to live instead of dieing

I see where people come from when they say that rape is worse, but I think that murder is worse. When you're murdered you can't.. well, you can't really do anything. But when someone is raped they at least get the chance to recover and be happy.
This is really awkward to talk about.. Why did I ask this? xD
