Rape isn't sex... rape isn't about sex.
Rape is violence... rape is about control and power.
Rape is still rape, even marriage. Agree or Disagree?

Right now I'm having a debate with this guy who thinks that marriage equals consent and that rape in marriage doesn't exist. -______- What a creep. Rape is rape, even in marriage.

Yeah, I know, I left a word out. Bring on the hate! lol

If marriage is by covenant (and not all of them are) then it is consensual.
If it is consensual (and not all of them are), it is not rape.
The problem is, society has screwed up the idea of marriage so that many people don't know what they are getting themselves into.
I will only marry by covenant and consent.
That said,
Violence has no place in marriage. And the other person's feelings should always be considered before doing anything together.
I said marriage is (supposed to be) a consensual covenant between a man and a woman to work together for life's purposes, including sex. The timing is up to both of them together.
You're not answering the real question-- that people who are legally married are not given a free pass to rape.
So if the wife does not want to have sex but doesn't say anything, is that rape?
Give me an example.
Consent is more than just verbal. If, for example, the wife is lying in bed (Napping? Long day?), and the husband tries to get her to have sex with him, and she's pushing him away or clearly trying to disengage-- and then he goes ahead and has sex with her anyway-- yeah, that's rape.
Silence is not consent.
but again... you haven't answered the question?
Likewise, I did not care to answer Agree or Disagree.
and no it is not unfaithful.
You were unhappy with it.
In a marriage. If a man forces his wife to have nonconsensual sex with him, is it rape?
I already said that violence has no place in marriage.
But both are named at times when they are not what the name implies.
