Ralph Lauren Designs Team USA's Opening Ceremony Outfits: Fit for an Olympian or Meh?

The London Olympics are only a couple weeks away, and Americana designer Ralph Lauren and Team USA are ready to present themselves to the rest of the world. Lauren released the designs he created for Team USA to wear in the opening ceremony, describing them as capturing "the spirit of American athleticism and sportsmanship." What do you think of the designs? Are they fit for an Olympian -- or are they kind of "meh"?

I really get that "we're better than you" vibe from those outfits. Perfect.

The clothes are nice but the hat is an eyesore. It does scream Ralph but someone should have told him to knix the hat.

No, we're the ones thinking wrong. They know what we are. Travel, leave America for a vacation, talk to normal people from different countries, you'll learn, I certainly did.

I don't live in America, so trust me, I know what the world thinks of them.
But really, the snobby uniforms aren't going to help with anything. Honestly, it'll just end up distancing them from the other countries.

The hats are terrible. I get that it's Ralph and he's trying to do casual but it's an eye sore compaired to the clothes.
