The London Olympics are only a couple weeks away, and Americana designer Ralph Lauren and Team USA are ready to present themselves to the rest of the world. Lauren released the designs he created for Team USA to wear in the opening ceremony, describing them as capturing "the spirit of American athleticism and sportsmanship." What do you think of the designs? Are they fit for an Olympian -- or are they kind of "meh"?

COCOPEREZ.COM reports:
Ralph Lauren is ready for London, and he’s bringing berets! The All-American designer was tapped to design Team USA´s garb for the London Olympics and they´re finally here!

Is this a military event? I think Ralph Lauren got it wrong; Team USA should have looked to a sports-apparel designer.

a sports apparel designer who would have had them constructed in the USA and paid USA workers...

there is no guarantee a sports apparel designer would do as you predicted.

apparently...especially with Ralph Lauren it seems ...the "All-American"...but they could be...and that is my point.

becuase I think Julie evrything we buy as far as clothes ...it's made in China...I do'nt know if that is a true statement either...but most clothes that you buy say from Walmart or the lower discount stores...it's from China.......now the white pants....i'm sure they are just staying wiht the red white and blue......white is easier to match to blue and red....so i'm sure that's why they went with whtie pants.....haha

These uniforms look too preppy. I think a more Patriotic look would do Americans more justice. Outfits designed to look like the dress uniforms of each of the armed forces. The athletes could choose which one they would like to represent: Marine Corps, Air Force, Army, or Navy (sorry if I forgot any).

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MAKING CLOTHES IN AMERICA. WE KNOW HOW TO SEW JUST AS WELL IF NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE!!!! TOO MANY COMPANIES ARE AFRAID TO PAY A DECENT WAGE. :(

our uniforms probably look better than any other countries. I think the idea was meant to be psychological. because those look high class. makes us look better than everyone else

Thats why the uniforms dont look right to us, China probably loves them.
Do you know what American amateur designers would give to have been able to enter a contest for the best US uniform. God forbid we use our own talents

Womens look better with the red white blue. We need uniforms that are made from america and ones that have more red with stars and stripes than just plain navy blue.

I heard that they were MADE IN CHINA and the cost is $600 for men and $800 for women uniforms. Are our Teams paying that for these? And why the berets? We are NOT French!
