We recently asked the public if women tend to go for jerks, and the answer was a solid "yes." More than two-thirds of respondents said women go for schmucks. But what about the other way around? Are they prone to the same lapse in judgment? Do guys tend to go for the mean girls? We took it to the public to find out.
Actually... No. According to the public, guys seem to steer clear of stormy weather when it comes to relationships. Sherry Argov's bestseller, "Why Men Love Bitches," may not be as applicable as we thought. The Top Opinion read, "I think men prefer nice, sweet girls that they can have fun with. Who wants a mean girl that is cruel to them and to others? Mean is not attractive at all." But lets explore some demographics who disagree.
Women Have to Wonder
Obviously, women are less sure of man's wisdom. It was the same case when we asked if girls like jerks -- guys were far more likely to say yes. Evidently it's normal for someone to assume the opposite sex goes for bad apples, but we should count it as a credit to women that most of them aren't using that as an excuse.
As They Get Older
Unfortunately, there's a bit of bad news. People who are older are much more likely to say men go for mean girls. Experience, perhaps? Or maybe just cynicism. We should also add here that married voters are less likely to say men go for jerks, so that cynicism is likely from older singles.
California Girls
Location, location, location. We can't stress the importance of location in this poll. Though it's hard to get strong sample sizes from smaller states, the big-state breakdown had a huge amount of variance. Californians, for instance, are split -- in other words, much more pessimistic than the overall vote. States like Texas (38%) and Georgia (11%) had better odds.

Guys think like this.
A guy wants a physically attractive girl, that is only natural. You can call it superficial, but whatever.
The man will stay if she has a beautiful personality as well.
If she has an ugly personality, he would hit it, and quit it.
Looks would get you through the door, but personality will keep you there. Which is why men would have sex with a mean girl, but wouldn't be with her.
I just want them to wake up and realise that what goes around comes around, especially if you live in a smallish place where almost everyone your age group would've met or heard of each other.

Either way, I don't understand it -- it's too much trouble...
1. Cheat on them.
2. Don't speak to them if he as much as says "Hi" to another girl.
3. Tells him not to talk to other girls.
4. Checks through his text messages.
5. Complain about him, talking about how stupid he is.
And I try to be nice, so how come I can find a good guy?
I've run into mean bitch's, it's important to not get bitter and hateful like a some guys do. I learned to just dump them and move on, but its very hard, if the relationship has lasted long. .
Men are very loyal to their families and often sacrifice themselves in some way, in this case they would sacrifice happiness to stay with a bitch and keep the family intact. In other cases men are forced to abandon their families & go homeless in order to provide for them (modern welfare).
Some people seem to thrive on constant conflict- the John Wayne & Maureen O'Hara movies are a example I guess. Personally I would dump O'Hara lol. Some people are just not compatible!
Our lives are hard enough, I think we deserve all the joy and happiness we can find,
and some women are plain crazy! There are sweet loving women, good women, wonderful women. I prefer to look after and sacrifice for them, and not suffer the sadism or bitchy nature of a FEW others.
