"Twilight" fans got their fill of frilly vampires and fantasy romance with "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" last week, raking in $138 million in its opening weekend. Not quite the $330 million opening weekend "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1" saw in 2010, but enough to beat the runner up ("Happy Feet Two") six times over.
The major draw for this film is the long-awaited wedding scene, making Bella's dress just about the biggest bridal fashion statement since the royal wedding. Millions of teen girls saw the film -- some, multiple times -- and the gown will be forever emblazoned on their impressionable minds. Luckily the dress, designed by Carolina Herrera, isn't half bad.

Bella's 'Breaking Dawn' Wedding Gown: Perfect or Plain?

67% Think the Dress Is Perfect
Replicas of the dress are already being sold -- possibly with hopes of appealing to the older end of the Twihard spectrum, but also because it's simply a stunning, well-designed dress that would likely sell with or without the movie. Unfortunately, the mere association with "Twilight" will probably turn some off immediately. But if you set aside your preconceptions, you might be surprised.

Females Fancied It

Women clearly had an easier time seeing the dress's finer points -- particularly the back of the dress, which contrasts with the simplistic front. 71% of female voters loved the dress, compared to just 56% of male voters. One commenter wrote, "The front is okay, but then she turns around and SHABAM!! I love the little buttons going all the way to the floor... this dress is anything but plain."
Married People, More So

In a sad twist of irony, one of the strongest supports of the dress are the ones who won't get a chance to wear it. 81% of married voters were fans, compared to just 70% of singles and 59% of people in non-marital relationships.

Bella's wedding gown is a beautiful number by designer, Carolina Herrera.
Still pretty plain though...
That would have been more fun:
