I am sure of it. The pressure to achieve is very great. I think that many instead of doing the actual work are just fudging it. It is creating a nation of dummies. I saw it with my classmates. They slack, and expect to be graded on a curve. It is embarrassing. My parents made me study and work hard in HS so I could succeed in college. I am in my 3rd year and I maintain a 3.9 and this year it will be a 4.0 if I can possibly do it. :)

But What do I know, I'm only 21 and no one thinks that anyone my age has anything useful to say anyway. :)

Are you talking about students, teachers or graduates who've gone on to elected offices?
Cheating has become accepted by those who we allow our children to "idolize", and by those who we allow to rule over us. Why not expect our children to do it?

The students are being taught by a few generations of teachers that teach the test and got there by cheating themselves.
