Who said you have to be a skinny minnie to wear a teeny bikini? Plus-size fashion blogger Gabi Gregg has posted a photo of herself in a "fatkini" and asked other readers of xojane.com to do the same. Some of the ladies look great, but critics say Gregg is "promoting an unhealthy weight."
Gregg, however, thinks she's been misunderstood. "I’m all for health," the 25-year-old, who wears a size 18, told the "Today" show. "I think people should be really aware of what they’re putting in their bodies and try to get more active. The truth is, we have to live in our bodies and be happy with the bodies we have right now, regardless of where we are in our journey to health.
"So often in the media all we see are thin women in bikinis," she added. "I love my body. I think we should kind of reject these fashion rules about what we are and about what we are not allowed to wear."
She also said women pay too much attention to their weight when it comes to their health. "My measure for health is how good I feel," Gregg said. "The main thing is to judge how you feel and what you’re putting into your body, how active you are and not based on a number on a scale." Do you think women should rock their "fatkinis" with pride?

i am telling you, there are girls who actually do this to themselves! it is not healthy!
they do this because they want to be like the models they see on the runways, who are just like the girl on ^that pic.
i am telling you, my best friend used to cut herself so she wouldnt eat and wouldnt get fat. and she wheighted bout 110 pounds and is 185cms tall (6foot something i guess)
I know girls actually do that. And I'm not saying it's healthy, but being overweight isn't healthy either.
what i am sayin, is that the media sells this as being beautyful. its not. being that thin should be as "badly" seen bu our society as being fat.

Being overweight was the in thing back in the very old days.
Even now in some countries ecspecially France , the Men there Love bigger woman.lol
And yes, all women are beautiful, but we need to fight obesity.

its cool to have such self esteem, yeah. but you need to pay attention to your body being healthy, not just feeling ok.
i bet you have drank red bull. or smoked or drinked. vodka+redbull? unhealthier than that.

Unhealthy is when you could be put at risk because an error or something wrong in terms of health
fat is when you have more meat on the human body than bones

a long time ago calling someone fat wasnt an insult but a fact just like me saying 'u have brown eyes' was the same as saying 'you are fat'
having brown eyes isnt an insult its a delicacy and having brown eyes is NOT unhealthy!!
