Princess is OK....she's tired I am brain tired!!!

Vet cleaned her anal glands !!!!In 40 years of having cats that was a first for me!!!They also hydrated her and she pooped and peed before we left the Vets.They did blood work and I will know results tomorrow.....I am $275.00 poorer,but Princess is worth it!!!! Thanks all who cared !!!!!XOXOXOXO

glad she is ok.... the anal gland thing....LOL that smell is worse than the smell of death... can even make a pro at it gag

Good for you both. Thank God you can get some rest and your baby can too. (I've been through similar experiences which are difficult and I sympathize).

That is a fantastic and an unusual news, Sis. Dogs get impacted anal glands but cats? So rare. You may be $275 poorer but she is worth every penny and you know it. Thank you for sharing this great news. Now you can rest really, really well tonight.

I've never even heard of cats having to have that done! Hope she feels better soon. Poor kitty. May she be back up and dancing soon.

Not just good,,,AWESOME.....VERY unusual for a cat to get impacted anal glands...
they should empty during her stool...I am sure the vet has informed you of all you need to do now...Poor little girl...and poor you....Both have a good dinner and a good rest...
Really felt she would be OK....

So glad to hear, that Princess is back home with you and feeling better. I do know that cats can develop impacted anal glands, and if it is just an infection that made Princess sick, that's good news! If that is what is wrong, I'm sure the Vet must have given you antibiotics?

Never heard of that one before so of course I looked it up and have made the decision that it was well worth the money to just let the vet handle (teh hee) it.
