It was recently revealed that the White House brews its own beer. In fact, the presidential bus is packed with it. On the president's three-day bus tour across Iowa, Obama got onto the subject of beer with a man from a Knoxville coffee shop and the president gave a sample of the White House brew to him.

According to the Des Moines Register, "in a press gaggle a short time later, White House Spokesman Jay Carney took several questions about the beer. The beer comes in two varieties, light and dark, Carney said. He has personally sampled the lighter brew, and declared it “refreshing.”

BLOGS.DESMOINESREGISTER.COM reports:
If you want to ride President Barack Obama’s motorcoach, be advised: it’s BYOB.

Haven't tried it but heard the grapes were too Liberally applied. Making for an over priced, sour experience that causes inflammation of the tongue. But the media sure did push the brand, awarding it two honors.

it's a free beer and i know several people that have to brew their own or drink imported booze because they are allergic to an ingrediant so i have no beef with it.

No thanks. And what's with al of these rich Privileged Democrats and beer drinking and brewing. Are they trying to act like their the Regular Joe off the street. The regular guy doesn't brew beer. It just says how above the regular guy they are. Didn't they over play the beer idea with Jimmy Carters brother Billy and Billy Beer.

I am a regular legal american human who does not brew any beer , never will , and does not want to pay tax dollars to brewing beer for any alcoholic beverages for any presidents of anything or anyplace.

I would love to know how much he spent on this and how many immigrants he imported to brew this alcohol for himself and his guests without tax payer consent. Bottom line, our legal citizens need all our elected officials to stop wasting our money on stupid things like this .

Although I disagree with President Obama about many things, I would like to spend some time speaking with him over a "cold one." I'm disturbed that we must vilify and insult those with which we disagree instead of being able to sit and discuss our differences. That's the only way we'll learn anything.

No it shouldn't. Sadly, the majority of people on both sides are getting nastier and nastier - more disgusting with insults, slander, and well, you said it, ugliness. The exceptions (both sides) are getting very rare. That concerns me.
