We understand that Jessica Simpson is very pregnant and, naturally, experiencing cravings. But her appetite is a little nasty -- even by mama-to-be standards. "I had a buttered Pop Tart this morning. I'm eating a lot of stuff that I ate in my childhood. Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, Pop Tarts, Cap'n Crunch. Everything's filled with sugar," she told "Extra."

Now, we love ourselves a tasty Pop Tart now and then, but it's safe to say that Pop Tarts do not need extra butter. And do people really still eat Cap'n Crunch? Simpson adds that she's happy to give in to her cravings. "I'm like, 'Yeah, I can do it. We'll worry about the rest afterwards," said the singer-reality star-shoe designer, who recently publicly admired Jessica Alba's toned post-baby body. She tweeted: "New goal: look like @jessicaalba after baby. Job well done lady!"

Simpson is also downing plenty of heartburn meds. "(I am) definitely eating a lot of Tums ... I have the reflux and acid going on," said the notoriously TMI star. Jessica is rumored to be the next face of Weight Watchers, and she has a new fashion-themed reality show in the works with Nicole Richie. Sounds like she'll be slim again before long -- but not if she keeps eating buttered Pop Tarts!

It's disgusting how we talk about a pregnant woman with weird eating habits as if it's "wrong". Some women crave things that aren't even edible and we gossip about a woman who craves Mac & Cheese???

No doubt that was partially why Romo dumped her. No self control. I'm a Cowboy season ticket holder, and we'd often see her and her family at the game. I bet her weight went up or down 20% over the course of the season.

LOL! Seriously though what is with all the young nubile singers of the 2000s turning into Hutts? I'm talking Simpson, Spears, Aguilera... Mandy Moore is somewhat exempt, but even she is significantly chunkier than she used to. Are they all get over their fading careers over fried chicken? Meanwhile, their "replacements" like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Kesha, etc don't look remotely as good as the old bunch. I don't get it. *sigh*

Women who are pregnant have strong cravings. Give the girl a break. My mother use to crave potato chips with icecream. I craved hot and spicy. This is soo normal.

My wife had much more annoying cravings, like smoked salmon on bagels w/ cream cheese. OMG, I thought she was going to KILL me when I didn't get any capers and had to go back.

Advice to first-time fathers. Give her whatever she wants, and make it all about her needs ... because I also learned that although a VERY pregnant and appreciative wife can't have sex, they can do other things, nudge nudge wink wink.

You're kidding right? Just spend 6 months in Europe and see if you don't crave those delicious foods. Every once in a while, I order myself a crate full of Kraft Mac & Cheese, Peanut butter and fluff, Snyder's Pretzel pieces, Bud Light, Hershey's cookies 'n' cream and reese's white chocolate peanut butter cup and as soon as the UPS guy is out the door I gulp down as much as I can until I wanna throw up. Last time I checked there's very little chance I can get preggo so that must be something else lol.

I don't see how it is remotly anywhere near disgusting. Pop-tarts are basically hard bread with a filling and glazed top anyways, so I don't see what the big deal is. As for the Cap'n Crunch remark, well perhaps you should try walking down a cereal isle sometime.

uhm iv heard about much stranger mama to be cravings. like pickles on chocolate ice cream... a pop tart, even with butter sounds a lot better than that. and the rest of the foods are pretty normal to want to eat.
