Swine Flu...uhhh.. I meant "H1N1 Influenza A"... came from pigs. Eating a pig, even one infected with the disease, won't cause you to get sick.

swine flu , or rather this new strain from that strain mutated with birds, pigs, humans in close quarters can not be from just eating pork alone. Hopefully like any flu it will run its course. I am looking at end of Sept/ early October, according to epidemiologists If this is a killer strain (as in the 1918 Spanish Influenza) we will know by then as it usually takes up 6 months for some strains to mutate into killer strains in order to keep the strain alive with more hosts. Build up on foods that strengthen your immune system and get rid of those things that weaken it.

You do not get the swine flu from eating pork.It's so strange that people have been infected with the swine flu because people do not normally get it. You get it from direct contact with pigs that have the disease. and it can spread to others by a cough or sneaz, or touching something that has the viruse then touching the nose or mouth. so it's ok to eat pork :)

I was raised on a farm and I raised swine, cattle, chickens and rabbits and I helped butcher and eat them all. I know how they are handled and PETA represents a bunch of urbanites who think that they know something and in reality, they know nothing!

No. I am in Arizona and the Secretary of State which was prior Gov. states this is not food born disease. It's passed from human to human. I do think it's a man made disease. H1N1 Swine Flueb isn't going to be that bad according to the CDC. We will have to wait and see!
