Craving a slice of pizza, but don't have the time/patience to get yourself over to your local pizza joint and wait for a slice? Enter the pizza vending machine. Let's Pizza, a vending machine that creates pizzas from scratch in 2.5 minutes, is coming to the U.S.

pizza vending machine

The machine, which contains an infra-red oven, is distributed by A1 Concepts, and it's already a hit in Europe, especially Italy. "The machine contains a specially developed bag of flour and a bag of mineral water. Every time you order a pizza, the machine will start making the dough, then shape it into a crust, and top it with organic tomato sauce," A1 Concepts' CEO Ronald Rammers says.

And yes, toppings are available. "We have our own facilities where we produce the toppings and it is possible to create any kind of pizza -- meat, fish, vegetarian, any kind," he adds. The suggested retail price for [an approximate 10.5-inch] pizza is $5.95, which is more than a tasty New York City slice but not so bad for a 10.5-inch pie. Rammers says you'll find Let's Pizza at malls, airports, hospitals, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, universities, gas stations, bus stations, etc. Would you give it a try?

I hope we'll get one here in Mountain Home, Idaho, or at least, in Boise! At least, as long as it has pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives!

Watch the video, it's made to order, far fresher than a frozen pizza and the digorno photo the idiot with the top post has.

OIC....cool. So maybe it's not that bad then. I guess I would try it once....or more if I liked it.

While the idea at first is rotten, I'd definitely give it a try. "Solo con ingredienti freschi" - only with fresh ingredients. Doesn't seem TOO bad. I'd definitely have to see it in action, first, though.

I saw this thing on "How It's Made." It has all the ingredients in the proper storage and it looks pretty cool. I'd try it at least once.

Sounds interesting - I should like to try one - I think the machines may be too slow - imagine there was a queue, and they must be very complicated. My vote would be for pre-made frozen pizza, which the machine unwraps, flash defrosts, then heats to eating temperature in about 30 seconds - I used to make my own - took about 2 hours, but really good taste - friends came regularly to eat at my place. If ever they invent a matter-transmitter, that would be very good - just dial a pizza, and they would zap one to your microwave - (or at least that's what one would be like), and it is in your home ready to eat in about 30 seconds too - and fresh baked. Pay via credit or bank card. Also, ice cream would be there instantly, any flavour. If you could transmit anything, ebay would do well with it - imagine selling your camera, or whatever, and as soon as your account is credited, zap them the camera. A big step up from a 3D printer, but similar idea

And you guys, stop posting pictures of American Pizza and saying THIS IS WHAT REAL PIZZA LOOKS LIKE. No, it isnt. Real Italian pizza is made with a much thinner crust, not like these pics people keep posting from a Digorno ad. The vending machine may not make real traditional pizza, but its closer to the real dal than going to Dominos.

No....this IS what real, "AMERICAN" pizza looks like. Everybody knows it's different than Italian pizza. It doesn't make it any better/worse. Just different.

Hmm...don't think I would trust food like that sitting in an unattended machine. Not to mention, how could you have anything very tasty if it is not fresh and can't have much on it? I think I will pass!
