Is Pippa Middleton’s fifteen minutes of fame over? The dismal sales of her book indicate that might the case. Prince Williams’ sister-in-law took the world by storm in her curve-hugging Alexander McQueen gown at the royal wedding in 2011. Now, she has become a celebrity in her own right. Royal watchers track her every move and talk about what she’s wearing, where she’s going and who she’s dating.
And so with her newfound fame she decided to write a party-planning book. Penguin Books released “Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends” in October of 2012. It features recipes, crafts, games and more for hosting a successful gathering. But apparently not everything Pippa touches turns to gold since sales of the book did not reach expectations.

Radar Online is reporting that bookseller WHSmith has reduced the price from $40.63 to $10.16. Ouch! The 400-page event guide has been harshly criticized for the obviousness of the hints provided. Did you know red roses are traditional Valentine’s day symbols? And turkey is a good item to serve a large group for Christmas? How would you have celebrated either occasion without her?! Still, Pippa Middleton did manage to sell some copies of the book. Do you think low sales of her book was an obvious outcome or are you pretty surprised about it?

What's surprising is that she thought that would be considered advice by anybody. I mean, she doesn't have to be Martha Stewart, but I'd expect her to outperform a six year-old drawing pictures of "What my family does on holidays".
