Darn thing jumped....Yes, I HAVE driven a cab, in Boston, MA. 7 to 7, mostly in and out of the then Combat Zone. It's a living, but you gotta be smart and real streetwise.

its not like someone get shot if he is driving a cab,, maybe if you are walking on the streets by the night and someone ask for money and if you refused then he might also shoot you, so it doesnt matter if your driving a cab anything else but if you gonna afraid then how you make a stand in such a cruel world.

I got out of my cab in the yard one day and a bullet hit the roof next to my shoulder and ricocheted off. I just kept on walking. Nothing I could do about it.

Well, Phoenix is in Arizona, which has pretty lax gun laws. The driver likely just didn't carry a gun with him, or was unable to get his gun out in time.

I have respect for those who drive cabs for a living ..
a Difficult job ..
stress-filled ..
with the costs of fuel, licenses, special licenses/fees ..
this is a tough job . .
they go to a lot of places most would rather not go to ..
and each and every day ..
deal with some truly 'difficult' people indeed
(*and place their lives on the line .. many have been murdered by passengers)

CONDOLENCES to the family of the Taxi-Driver murdered ..
