That's a little off topic. It's about fur, not food. Animals used for fur are usually not eaten (only the native Americans lived that way).

I'm for the whole "No fur." I don't like fur and In my opinion it's wrong to wear it.
So, this time I'm going to have to go with PETA.

I am a vegetarian and am against the slaughter of animals... but Peta is F***ing crazy! Im sorry,but they are just insane. If she wants to wear real animal fur,then she can... the dead animal is on her consiousness,not mine. Im not compelled to go out and sue her over it... that wont save the animal.

Honestly,though... it is pretty messed up what they do to those animals. Its just difficult for me to side for animal rights,because then people group me in with Peta.

I see why Peta's mad because they're supposed to get mad at this if they ddnt say something then I'd be worried. I'm not to big on the whole animal rights thing unless were wiping out species for this backpacks production. Honestly its an eyesore for me though, whoever stitched it is probably impossibly amazing that doesn't look easy.

I had an uncle who raised Fox for fur traders. They were never alive when they got skinned and the business created jobs for other people. I don't personally wear any fur, but I'm not gonna side with the extremists at PETA.

I don't always support PETA's stances, even though I find the suffering that humans inflict on their fellow creatures sickening. The fur industry is a nightmare of suffering for the chosen animals, simply for profit and vanity.

I wear leather shoes isn't that an animal's skin too? If it was a leather bag would it get the attention it's getting now? People get riled up with fur because they see a fuzzy creature but wouldn't give it a second thought to having a leather bag, jacket, or shoes.

If you dislike things made of fur or animal skin don't buy it, however why do people feel the need to condemn those who do? PETA is always saying how evil man is to animals and have tried forcing people to agree with their viewpoint through tactics that border on domestic terrorism, they really need to stop!

The animals-first movement lost me when my daughter was in first grade. A woman came to the school purportedly to talk to kids about animals, wild and domestic. At some point during her presentation, she went on a rant saying that wearing fur is just horrible and how the people who do so are terrible people. My daughter came home and told me her great grandmother must have been a terrible person because she owned a rabbit coat (made for her by my great grandfather during the Depression). I called the school to complain and warned that I would go to the school board should there ever again be such blatant social engineering shoved down my daughter's throat. The principal was upset because she was not present for the presentation and was not told that the woman planned to talk about the "evils" of the fur trade.

After that, I was done with the animal rights movement.

PETA put signs up around schools in Houston and picketted schools telling the children to not drink milk because they harmed the animals and made their babies starve.
