The Olsen twins have created another unbelievably expensive backpack -- and this time, they've managed to incur the wrath of PETA. The People for Ethical Treatment of Animals slammed the "Trollsen Twins" for the almost $17,000 fur backpack they designed for their fashion line, The Row.

"If it looks like a troll and acts like a troll, it's probably a Trollsen Twin -- or someone wearing one of their new $16,000 totes, which are made from the fur and skins of innocent animals," PETA said in a statement to E! News. "What the Olsens lack in creativity, they try to make up for in shock value. Sadly, it's the foxes, calves, and alligators -- who often have the fur ripped off them while they are still conscious and able to feel pain -- who pay the dearest price."
Despite the price -- and the pain -- stylist-to-the-stars Rachel Zoe called the accessory "next season's staple item." We're not sure how many schoolkids can afford an almost $17,000 backpack, but we guess they're out there ... Do you think PETA was too hard on the Olsen twins? Or right on the money?

People, get it straight! Animals are not people, no matter how many animated talking animals you've seen in cartoons!
And the sad fact is they do as much, if not more, harm to animals as any of the groups they protest.
Was a Mink Farm where they "freed" several hundred Minks into the woods nearby.
Workers then spent the next few weeks picking up the dead minks who had all frozen to death.
"Sadly, it's the foxes, calves, and alligators -- who often have the fur ripped off them"
Alligator farms raise alligators specifically for their hides and their meat. The hides are used for leather. The meat is used for food. They're used in a similar way as we use cows, just not on as large of a scale.
But, I know that it being a reptile, it is very firm and lacks fat. It is very similar in that regard to chicken. And they being distant cousins to each other, they may taste similarly. I know some people do indeed say it tastes like chicken.
Poor animals.
Oh god no! Not the animals! Poor, poor animals! How cruel! We should burn her at the stake and then wear HER skin as clothing. Yeah! How could she support such cruelty!
