Perez Hilton calls will.i.am a "faggot", gets punched in the face

- Police have charged the tour manager of the Black Eyed Peas with assault after he allegedly gave celebrity blogger Perez Hilton a black eye outside a Toronto nightclub.

Hilton said he got into an argument with band members Fergie and will.i.am at the Cobra nightclub early Monday morning and was punched outside by Polo Molina, the band's tour manager. They were at the club following a Sunday night video awards show.

Molina turned himself in and has been charged with assaulting Hilton, Toronto Police Constable Tony Vella said. Molina is due in court Aug. 5.

Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, complained about the incident on the microblogging site Twitter. He tweeted at 4 a.m.: "I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke."

Hilton, who is openly gay, said in interview with The Associated Press that he called will.i.am a "faggot," a gay slur, inside the club after the musician told the blogger not to write about his band on his Web site.

"He was like 'You need to respect me.' He was in my face. He was obviously trying to intimidate me and scare me," Hilton said. "I was like 'I don't need to respect you. I don't respect you and I did say this, and I knew that it would be the worst thing I could possibly say to him because he was acting the way he was. I said 'You know what, I don't respect you and you're gay and stop being such a faggot.'"

Hilton, who was at the club with Lady Gaga, said he then left the club and was punched from behind. The pop stars and the blogger were among celebrities in Toronto for the MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday night. ... Read full article »

Perez Hilton does not in any way represent the vast majority of us.

I don't think so either but this is the first time we have heard from anyone who represents the gay lobby say anything against Mr. Lavanderia.

Until now he was been given free reign to bully, defame and attack a young woman for expressing the same belief held by the POTUS on gay marriage.

The gay lobby was awfully quiet when Mr. Lavanderia was a knife-man on your behalf so denouncing him now rings a bit hollow.

I'm not denouncing him. He can do what he wants; he just doesn't represent me.

I welcome your consistency and intellectual honesty.

Intellectually honest people on the right know Mr. Lavanderia is not typical of the average man who identifies as 'gay'.

But what about those of you who tried to break into the mormon temple and the Catholic Church during your no on 8 rallies?
When one person does something wrong, his people cast him out.
But when a large group of people do somthing wrong, they try to defend themselves with excuses.

I'm sorry; did you see me defend them when this happened?

While I do not like the Mormon Church for a number of reasons - this is America and they are welcome to spend their money as they see fit. And in this particular campaign, they will fail. As for the antiquated Catholic Church, nobody with any sense listens to them on these matters.

Of course not, i didnt know you existed until yesterday, but you probably would have cheered them on.

I will not talk to you because the thought of talking to a homosexual makes me sick.
But I hope you get over the illness you are currently in and that you will know that what you are doing is wrong.

I don't usually use foul language in response to a person that I don't know, and it bothers me a little to use it now (but, only a little)... so here goes...

Fuck off you freak. If it bothers you to "talk" to me then don't fucking "talk" to me.

I'm not quite sure how you got stuck holding the blame bag for the actions of others in the gay and lesbian community, but let me assure you that not all conservatives behave like that.

Regarding Perez Hilton, well, most of us have the good sense to understand that he does not represent the gay community. He is a publicity seeking fool who will say or do anything to draw public attention to himself. He has done more damage to your causes than most, and we understand that as well as you do.

Most in your community are upstanding American tax-payers; and to hold you accountable for what others do is absolutely ludicrous.

I appreciate that actually. Much of my family is FAR right-wing conservative (some for fiscal and some for religious reasons) and I know that not all of you guys are like the person I was speaking to.

(and I think Perez is a no talent hack who found a way to make money by being... well, unfortunately, probably himself.)

I was reading the post comments and came across the ones directed toward you. They were out of line. There was no need to attack you like that.

Like you, sometimes we get a bad rap for what other conservatives do. Which, is why I refer to myself a moderate conservative. If being a Christian means you have to treat people like that....anyway, I just wanted to step in and try to right a wrong.

can you truly say having a homosexual neighbor in your neighborhood or in the next state affects you?
