The best sex scenes are the ones that are only implied. Watching two people all over each other is just really awkward, because where do you look? You don't want to look straight at these people sharing an intimate moment, you don't want to focus on one of them or the other, and you can't look at their faces, it's all to personal to be watching, so I end up having to just look away for the whole thing. It just ruins a film when you can't watch half of it...

Old movies when depicting sex, would show a train entering a tunnel.
As the man becam more aroused, they would show a lift off.
And when the deed was done, the falling smokestack.
I guess it's an age thing.

:O I did not know that :O Older comedies, I'll presume... I was more talking about when they kiss, and then they go off, and you know they've slept together, but you don't see anything. Or when they're just having a moment, like, looking into each other's eyes and you know they love each other, and then that's it, you know they've done it, but there's been none of the awkwardness of having to watch it.

Awkward for who? For the viewer? Generally no, they aren't awkward. For the actors? Sure! How could they not be awkward? You are naked or nearly naked kissing someone you may have no real attraction to, in front of a roomful of people who are all staring at you, pointing cameras, lights and microphones at you. I would find that awkward.

Porn is porn is porn. Years ago dirty old men went to a back alley theater to see this. Back then it was rated XXX.
Now anyone over 17 can watch it in a theater and small children can watch it on TV at home. Same with the uneducated language that is used in these 'movies'.

We used to call people that watched this stuff perverts. They were in the same class as peeping Toms.

i think doing the scenes make you feels awkward and sometime when you are watching a film with your family its became for everyone....but i agree that some of the films it need to be this but they can also cut it on the start up..

At times they can be absurd. As long as they have some relevancy to the plot. One of the cheesiest plots that do make it awkward are the overplayed ones that involve former couples rekindling their relationship when they have to overcome something the size of an alien invasion. It's been done, get over it.

Sex in movies is fake & adults know what sex is. They dont need to show it we get the point. A lot of those people are married & they dont need to be doing sex scense with other married people. Thats why couples cant stay together in hollywood.
