It's the time of year in Phoenix when you open all the doors and windows to enjoy the perfect temperatures and breezes. Tonight I went out into the front yard and smoked my pipe, watched my Chrsitian flag snap a few feet above my red cholla, waved at the neighbors, scratched my dogs ears occasionally and tried to keep from leaning on my gun hip. (Gentlemen, you would not believe how relaxaing it is to enjoy an occasional nice old briar.) - It occured to me that I have lived in too isolated a manner. I will be doing more of this from time to time. It could be profitable to just live in open contented freedom for everyone to see and perhaps for some to contemplate. - God bless...

I remember once when I was TDY (temporary duty) to Guam away from my family in MI where I was stationed, there was a place called "Pattie"s Point". It was at the end of the runway where the B52s took off and dropped out of sight over the ocean before they began their climb on the way to support the "Vietnam/Cambodia" campaign. I looked at the night sky and realized it was the most beautiful "heavens" I had ever seen from anywhere. You could literally see a million stars that looked so "close", you could literally "reach out and touch them"

I've been all over the world in my military career but have never seen another "sight" quite like that one. Saw it every night for the 6 months I was there. Lonely? Yes, but quite worth more than you can imagine until you get older.

Yes, and what you are doing...is priceless and a WOW moment. Isolation is never all that good. Enjoy.
