The next airline fee that may be a reality soon? Paying extra to exit an aircraft quickly. USA Today reports survey findings that, "...16% of respondents were willing to pay to be at the front of the line when their flight lands. Of that group, 10% would pay $10 and 3% would pay as much as $20." New airline fees are nothing new and are crucial to some airlines to avoid financial disaster. Would you pay to get out of a flight faster?

TRAVEL.USATODAY.COM reports:
Will paying extra to get off a flight faster be the next airline fee? A new survey suggests some would be willing to pay it.

Quite frankly ..
there should be in place ..
common COURTESY ...
Let the Disabled .. those with Small Children exit first ..
(no pushing, no shoving .. just let them get up and exit in comfort .. )
These fees are outrageous ..

I think---and this is a flight attendant talking here---that thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard; people are so petty it kills me. Can they really not figure out that there life is in no way going to be seriously impacted by an extra 5-10 mins?

Well, a lot of people are absurd. For some reason, they have no patience. & the more important people feel (like getting off first), the better they seem to feel. Absurdity is abundant these days!

I think, based on all that I've seen, that people just arent thinking clearly---its a psychological thing basically. It just instinctively seems to them like its best to be off the plane 5 mins more than those behind them, but yet, if you were to ask them to explain it, they wouldnt be able to.

Of course they wouldn't. What's the point when you have to wait for your baggage anyway? & then the taxi or person picking you up. It's going to take the same amount anyway. Airlines aren't meant to have fast service, it's not McDonald's.

Actually,I pay quite A bit more than the choices given.I only fly first class so I am one of the first on the plane and one of the first off.

I wouldn't pay it normally, but traveling with a child or first-time flyer, I probably would pay 3 dollar to get them out quickly.

in the past 25 years, ive flown one time... Never did like to fly, I prefer driving. However, i wouldnt pay to get off of plane faster... usually doesnt take very long anyway...

I make it s point to be sure that I have plenty of tie to make connections (never less than 1 hour layover) unless I've had delays for some reason, I usually stay seated until most people are off anyway. If it is my final destination, there's no reason to rush.
