Other than adopt have your ever taken in a Stray Animal?

I mostly adopt dogs except for one I took from an abusive man. Cat's find me.
If I see one outdoors and it's cold or it hangs around the house and no one claims it I take them in.

Yes, my daughter when she was very young brought a stray cat home and we ended up keeping it,

Yes but only once. Just last year I took in a small helpless puppy wandering around in the pouring rain on the side of the highway. Crazy thing was, when I got out of the car, she came right to me, didn't shy away. It was like she was meant to be mine. I called the animal control & humane society, drove around the neighborhood asking them if anyone recognized her, put an ad in the newspaper waited to see one about a missing dog with her description. Nobody made an attempt to find her...the rest is history. She's my baby girl <3 (BTW, she's the dog in my profile picture.)

A dog .... We took it in as it was lost ... It's owner was found after a week, so a good news story ...
