Here's a new way to celebrate Gay Pride Month -- eat an Oreo cookie. Kraft Foods posted a rainbow-colored, gay pride-themed picture of an Oreo cookie on Facebook on Monday, with the text: "June 25 | Pride" and "Proudly support love!" And while 217,816 Facebook users had "liked" the post as of Wednesday morning, others are calling for a boycott, Reuters reports.

Among the 35,535 comments, one person wrote: "By (sic) Oreo. I'll do my business elsewhere!" Another commenter said: "thought Oreos were a family cookie." But fans wrote things like, "Very glad to support a company like Oreo that joins the campaign for civil rights!"

Basil Maglaris, Kraft's associate director of corporate affairs, told Reuters: "As a company, Kraft Foods has a proud history of celebrating diversity and inclusiveness. We feel the Oreo ad is a fun reflection of our values." But you can't buy this Oreo at your local grocery store. The fine print under the picture reads: "Made with creme colors that do not exist."

    I really do applaud Oreos, I really don't get why people are getting upset. Those who are gay have fought as much as other minorities and still getting bad-mouthed and treated unequally. The idea is brilliant, yet sadly, I wish I could eat one :3 Also even though Oreo's is a family treat, I think the knowledge of diverse people such as the lgbt that are in the world is great for everyone of age in the family to know cause we are all one and equal. Homosexuals are just as sexual as straights, so everyone needs to stop being ignorant.

    Really, I didn't hear about gays beating a lot of MORAL citizens to death. But when I was in school a gay kid got beaten to death every other year or so, and the cops barely paid attention let alone investigated.

    Actually, they have beat moral citizens to death. The lame stream media just won't show it. Why don't you also look at homosexual beating/murdering homosexuals. Its pretty violent.
    And where did you go to school?

    Gee, what about Jeffrey Dahmer, Andrew Cunanan and John Wayne Gacy" They were all homosexual. Figuring about 2% of the population is Gay and another 2 to 3% are bi-sexual, it's pretty easy to claim there are none, but that would be incorrect.

    Then we have this;

    Nice video. And what about the previous 50 years when I was in school?
    By the way Jeffrey Dahmer claimed to be a devout Church of Christ member punishing homosexuals, but did not identify himself as one. Same with Gacy, a good RC altar boy. I will give you Cunanan though, he was a real flamer.

    Dahmer was born into a family of devout members of the Stone-Campbell denomination known as the "church of Christ" or "Churches of Christ." He was an active churchgoer until the age of 5. After that, Dahmer was never again actively religious or a regular churchgoer until after his arrest and imprisonment. Dahmer's homosexuality is not unusual among serial killers. The fact that Dahmer was a homosexual, as were most or all of his victims, was widely publicized at the time of his arrest and trial. Prior to his arrest, Dahmer was active in the Milwaukee gay community, although the word had reportedly spread through this tight-knit GLBT community that Dahmer was a person who should be avoided.

    As for Gacy, he had at least two charges against him prior to becoming the scum killer he did for sodomy of minors (boys). In 1972, Gacy married a woman named Carole Hoff, who was aware of his crimes, yet believed he had changed. Carole had two daughters and they moved into Gacy's new home. The neighbors began to notice a terrible odor in the house, but Gacy blamed it on a moisture buildup in the crawlspace.

    In 1974, he started a business called PDM Contractors, which performed painting and maintenance tasks. All of his employees were young teenage boys and Gacy justified it by saying that it...

    In 1974, he started a business called PDM Contractors, which performed painting and maintenance tasks. All of his employees were young teenage boys and Gacy justified it by saying that it kept costs down. However, Gacy was frequently attempting to seduce the boys and his homosexual desires slowly made Carole drift away from him.

    By 1975, Gacy and his wife were no longer having sex and Gacy became very unpredictable. He would frequently have tantrums and throw things around the house. He was rarely home at night and Carole found magazines with naked men and boys laying around. Gacy admitted that he liked boys more than women and they divorced in 1976.

    You're looking for a deeper correlation, in which you can take the bible and use about any of the passages to twist to your agenda. Cults have been doing this for years. I don't care about what you want to see.

    No, I'm a Christian who has studied the Bible for a few years and apply it to my life. For you to accuse me of twisting the Bible for "my agenda" is pretty ignorant and just plain foolish. Why are you being so evasive? What are you afraid of? How do you know what I'm trying to get at? You haven't answered my question yet. You're the one who wants to be petulant.

    I come off a little strong myself. However, when I'm trying to keep a discussion toned down, whether written or verbal, I tend to get rather direct If all I'm getting is petulant attitude and pointless sarcasm. When I'm asking, what I feel are, legitimate questions to try and discern what someone is really thinking about a subject, and all they want to do is throw sarcasm and attitude, it's usually out of fear they'll be proven wrong, or they have a mis-perception of a subject and want to stay there.

    If someone's studied the Bible and want to question and discuss, I am all for it. The only thing I ask is that at least a smidgeon of respect can be shown for my Book of Faith, because I'll show respect for your view of the Book even thought we disagree. I don't shove it down peoples throats, but I will pointedly draw out where they mis-interpret, mistakenly or deliberately. I'm not an apologetic. if we have a discussion about Faith and you decide your stance and wish to walk that way, that is your decision and I leave you to it. I don't chase people around forcing my view on them. All I try to do is make sure I do what I can to help those that are willing to hear the message make sure the get the clear version so they can make up their own mind. Nothing more, nothing less.
