Happy birthday, Oreo cookies! Nabisco's famous chocolatey-on-the-outside, creamy-on-the-inside cookie was founded on March 6, 1912, in New York City, making today the cookie's 100th birthday!

"On March 6th, Oreo turns 100 years young," the Oreo website proclaims. "Since 1912, we've made it our business to make life a little less serious. In a world that's become far too adult, a couple of Oreo cookies, a glass of milk, and a shared twist, lick and dunk is all it takes to set your inner kid loose. Celebrate the kid inside all of us."
In fact, Nabisco has launched a limited edition "Birthday Cake" Oreo cookie in honor of the centennial, the Christian Science Monitor reports. It features a simpler design that resembles the original logo, and rainbow sprinkles mixed into the frosting. Known as "America's favorite cookie" and "Milk's favorite cookie," over 490 billion Oreos have been sold, making it the best selling cookie of the 20th century.
So why do people love Oreos so much? It's all about variety. According to Kraft, about 50 percent of Oreo eaters pull the cookies apart, and women are more likely to do so than men. You can also eat them in one bite, like a sandwich, or dunk them in milk (we prefer to open them up and scrape off the cream with our teeth). How do you like your Oreos?

Yummy!:D
1st - open cookie
2nd - lick off cream
3rd - put choclate pieces back together
4th - nibble off the outer circle (the rim)
5th - dunk rest of cookie in milk
6th - scarf milk drenched cookie.

That's why they aren't allowed in my house ;-)
