Orange Wine: Gross or Great?

all wine is bad (includes all other alcohol as well) but tryin to make an orange variety looks like either food colored crap or some kool aid imitation

I'd try it, altho that critic's description didn't give me any idea what it really tastes like lol. maybe i'm not sophisticated enough but I have no idea what those terms translate to in real world tastes.

Since there was no choice for other. I'd really have to try it to tell you! I like dry wines whatever the color.

i see it good.. i sense it good.. i have to drink it but.. i see no gross in being that original

Never liked wine anyway. I only use it to look fancy.

The "orange wine" that I had was made from oranges in south louisiana.

GREAT....It's not as if anything out there for consumption really has it's NATURAL COLOUR! So, let's just drink it!

I've never seen it in the market, but it brings back old times. My uncle, now deceased, God rest his soul, used to make orange wine, and it was delicious. Kinda sneaks up on you, because it tastes so good, you don't realize how much you're drinking. He used to make a mighty fine dandelion wine too. I'll keep my eye out for it on the shelves.

I only drink alcohol beverages only on "special occasions" such as weddings, birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and etc., but I am willing to give it a try because it look delicious!

Wine making has a wonderful tradition. Classes in wine tasting will help you understand descriptions like that provided by the Food Republic. These classes will teach you to observe the color as well as the clarity of the wine. When you see an orange wine, you quickly look at the label....and if the vintage isn't older than say 1980, you poor it down the drain because the wine has not aged well.

Obviously, the Food Republic is a pretentious mouth piece for the industry because only somebody trying to pass off bad wine would use the language of the tradition to create a new drink and call it wine...because if it has an wine has an orange color it is either very old or very bad or something other than wine.

what about green or blue wine, that would be awesome! but maybe a bit wierd..

Life is Orange (and white)! While I have not tried it yet, it is definitely on my list to do...
Everything is better in orange....

It really depends on what you use it on.

Try it, you would be surprised! We have been using orange and watermellon wines with lemon/lime soda as a summer pickup drink for a number of years now.

Oh I forgot, Orange brandy is also great.

Well seeing as wine has been made out of far odder things I would definitely give it a try. I mean Normal Wine is eventually aged Alcoholic Grape juice what's stoping us from doing it with orange juice.

I would try it. Why not. If it is good people will buy it, if not they will just stop making it.
