Orange you glad there are more options than just red and white wine now? "Orange wine" is popping up on trendy wine lists, but it really refers to white wine that has been aged longer than usual on grape skins, seeds and stems, Yahoo! reports. The result? Orange-colored wine.

Some producers (usually small vintners) use elaborate methods to give the wine even more of a burnt-orange color -- and the unique-looking end product will generally cost you at least $25. Yahoo's Food Republic blog tried a 2004 Damijan Kaplja Bianco orange wine and called it "amazing."
"Cloudy and funky on the nose, it had fruit and flower flavors, and great acidity. Yet, it stood up and saluted, like a red," Food Republic raved. Is it just us, or do you find it pretentious when people talk about wine this way? When's the last time your wine stood up and saluted? Nevertheless, orange wine would make a great holiday party gift. And we're definitely curious to give it a try. How about you?

Obviously, the Food Republic is a pretentious mouth piece for the industry because only somebody trying to pass off bad wine would use the language of the tradition to create a new drink and call it wine...because if it has an wine has an orange color it is either very old or very bad or something other than wine.
Everything is better in orange....
I dont mind wine :)
