I'd take that big one witht he silver hair down with a single leg, then he'd give me his back, I'd then slap on a rear naked choke and thats a wrap..... After that he would bring me fruits to rejuvenate between tagging his bitches..
    LOL
    Cool video.

I was so fascinated by this. I had assumed it was a group of scientists interacting with the gorillas, but this appears to be a Gorilla Trek Tour in the Bwindi Forest National Park. It looks like there are many tour companies.
I hope by allowing humans to go see the Gorillas, that in some way it can help to keep the gorilla from being poached. I also hope that these companies are not encouraging interaction with the Gorillas and have very strict guidelines to protect the animals.

    One question.
If it's an "impenetrable" forest, how'd they get in to take the video?

I see the little ones' curiousity in the man's "silver" hair. I think the big silver back is waiting for a challenge, but doesn't get one so they move along. Incredible as this video is, I like this one just as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

The guy's behavior was spot on. You never make eye contact as that is a sign of agression. You just sit quietly & wet your pants.

The look the silverback gave him when he was leaving was priceless. "I could've taken you, no problem".

what an incredible moment. It brought tears to my eyes. It was as if the silver back brought them there to check him out. He watched over his group and when he thought it was time, He took them away.

I think the silver back actually left only because one of the young ones wondered away, you see in the video that one of the younger ones starts walking away and the silver back takes notice straight away and then gets up and starts going in the same direction the younger one went to.

You are right. I missed that. He was really watching over the members of his family.
I originally thought the people in the clip were members of a scientific team, but I'm not certain. I'll have to see what else I can find out about this clip.

We wondered into some rock apes on a patrol. We were observing what appeared to be an encampment from a hillside and heard movement... Got a little spooky until one appeared about 20 yards away, then another. Not real big animals. I think they knew we were close by, but they never saw us; at least they didn't bolt or raise hell if they did..
